Prayer & Praise

On this Christmas of 2018,
may the light of Love rise upon our divided and wounded world;
may the presence of Emmanuel, God is with us, fill all solitude;
may the peace and joy of the Lord touch all hearts;
may the coming of Jesus give meaning to all life.
And may every day of 2019 prolong in our lives
the faith, love and hope that Christmas rekindles in our hearts.
Christmas of Love! Christmas of Peace! Christmas of Joy!
 + Marcel Damphousse
 Bishop of Sault Ste. Marie

Prayer of Praise and Thanksgiving

Dear Heavenly Father,   thank you for all those people who gave time and resources to brighten the Christmas season for others, and to demonstrate the love of Jesus.         May all the gifts draw people closer to you, Lord God.

Prayer of Thanks from LifeSite News

With increased attacks against conservative ideals we witnessed in 2018- physical, verbal, and otherwise - it is evident that the world is in need of a clear voice that is unafraid to speak the TRUTH without compromise.

We were blessed by donations of $300,000 in December which makes certain we can continue to provide high-capacity international news reporting and reach as many people with the truth as possible. By supporting our end-of-year Christmas campaign, people ensured that our pro-life and pro-family news coverage continues to reach millions of people around the globe and also help us do so much more in 2019.

Conscience Rights
Dear Friend, In Canada, doctors who also profess to be followers of Jesus could one day become a thing of the past.   An Ontario court recently made a ruling that would deter anyone who upholds the sanctity of human life from practicing medicine in that province.   The court had decided that Ontario doctors can not refuse to participate in procedures like abortion or euthanasia on religious or moral grounds. If patients ask a doctor to kill an unbo...

Summer Job Attestation Changes for 2019

We have been lobbying for nearly one full year on the issue of the "Summer Jobs attestation". Over eleven months, we gathered nearly 50,000 signatures on one petition, over 11,000 more on another related petition, and nearly 6,000 more on yet another petition. I personally reached out to government leaders, I was interviewed on the radio, and our petition was featured in newspapers. Now, we can see the fruits of our labours...

Earlier this week, Employment Minister Patty Hadju announced that this discriminatory attestation will be revoked for 2019!

Ms. Hadju, in her explanation, cited the concerns of Canada's faith leaders. Faith leaders objected to the attestation because, in order to receive Summer Jobs funding, it required them to implicitly approve of abortion on demand, same-sex marriage, and the new gender ideology. Many churches, faith-based groups, Christian small businesses, and other conscientious objectors felt that such a requirement violated their freedom of conscience and/or religion. Ms. Hadju said, "They felt this was about their values and beliefs and not about the jobs and the performances of the students in particular roles and we took that to heart."

It is doubtful the liberals "took it to heart" as much as they were concerned Canadians were going to take this issue to the ballot box next fall!

Ms. Hadju further revealed that the government will still screen out certain applications for Summer Jobs funding. This time, however, there will be no attestation to sign. Now, Service Canada will be tasked with scrutinizing every application and weeding out any that involve explicitly pro-life and pro-family activist work. This is still a matter of discrimination, though it will certainly impact fewer employers and do far less harm to the faith community (and their charitable work) in Canada. For this much, every Canadian should be thrilled! However, as long as anti-pipeline activists and radical Muslim groups are still funded, the question remains: Why are pro-life and pro-family activists still being centred out?

Therefore, at best, this news is a partial victory. Nonetheless it is a victory. We made the liberals change their tune and rework their strategy - and that's a good thing. It shows that they are worried about the strength of our voices - and our votes - come election day next fall!

So, thank you for your help in this win. I think we really have something to celebrate!

Yours for Canada,

David Cooke and the Entire CitizenGO Team

Do the changes in the Liberal Government’s Summer Job Attestation REALLY make a difference???????????

….”According to information taken from the National Post, “Ineligible employers” includes, those that “advocate intolerance, discrimination and/or prejudice; or actively work to undermine or restrict a woman’s access to sexual and reproductive health services.”

Joyce Arthur, executive director of Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada said, ”It still achieves the same aim of ensuring that groups that are primarily against human rights, like anti-choice groups, are not going to be eligible for funding still, and it appears to satisfy the concerns of religious groups and churches,”…..”

CBC Program Ridicules Campaign Life Coalition supporters

Campaign Life Coalition’s stand on sex-ed has caused the state broadcaster, the CBC, to have a bozo eruption!
The broadcaster’s signature comedy series “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” recently mocked opponents of radical sex-ed, specifically Campaign Life Coalition, as know-nothing prudes. You can watch the video on YouTube, via the url link below to see their attack on pro-life and pro-family Canadians.

The CBC uses your tax dollars to mock you. The state broadcaster can afford to work just 22 minutes per hour because the Trudeau government subsidizes them to such a high degree. We on the other hand, must work a full 60 minutes per hour in order to get our work done, plus a lot of night shifts and weekends too, in order to stand up for your values!

This Hour has 22 Minutes is just one example of how anti-life and anti-family forces carry out their never-ending war against people who hold traditional values.

Watch the "22 Minutes" video by cutting and pasting the url below into your internet browser:

Shock:  Facebook Blocked Baby Jesus – by LifeSite News

I want to make sure you heard about what happened this past week  (December 3-9/18) and how you and all of our family of supporters are helping enact change!

You may have heard that Facebook censored a post by blocking a picture of Santa Claus kneeling before the Baby Jesus, warning viewers that the photo "may show violent or graphic content.”

Thanks to a tip from one of our readers last week, we discovered this story. Within minutes, we published an article on this despicable decision and shared it to our social media accounts (which are followed by hundreds of thousands of pro-life, pro-family leaders).

What happened next was amazing - the story went viral! In less than 18 hours, it was shared on Facebook over 42,000 times and received more than 60,000 pageviews. Then, it received a massive boost when it was picked up by Fox News columnist Todd Starnes, The Blaze, and other media outlets that same day.

Because our article put so much pressure on Facebook, they had no choice but to restore the image. You made this possible!

You, and every member in the LifeSite giving family, has helped us fight censorship from the increasingly anti-free speech goliaths like Facebook.

Unfortunately, this kind censorship will continue to happen, especially if we don’t report on it. Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube have all ramped up their efforts to drown out the pro-life, pro-family message. This is why we work each day to continue to expose their bias. No other news outlet is doing this, and we need help to keep up the fight!

We have fought the liberal bullies at Facebook numerous times this year (and won!), but these huge victories are only possible because of our generous supporters. I hope you will consider making a contribution today to help ensure our reporting makes an even greater impact in 2019.

For life and family,

Words of Wisdom

Each Day

     A new year just beginning,
     Each day a fresh, new start,
     To fulfill your hopes
     And pursue the dreams
     Sustained within your heart.

     Put God in charge;
     He'll plant the seeds
     Of affection, love and care.
     Like a garden, your life will grow
     With kindness flowering there.

     And as you face the wonder
     Of each day's mysteries,
     You'll see God's hand
     Unfolding, daily, possibilities!

     And as each day comes to a close,
     Dream a dream or two,
     Then with a prayer thank dear God
     For each day given to you.

his little daughter, Kelly.  Finally, he tore a sheet out of his
magazine on which was printed the map of the World.

   Then tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Kelly, and said,
"Go into the other room and see if you can put this together."
He was sure that would keep her busy all afternoon!

   After only a few minutes, Kelly returned and handed him the
map, correctly fitted together.  The father was surprised and asked
how she had finished so quickly.

   "Oh," she said, on the other side of the paper is a picture of
Jesus.  When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, then the
World came together.
